Environmental Program Manager – Aviation Department

The Aviation Department has a vacancy for an Environmental Program Manager position. This role is critical to Aviation Department operations because it directly supervises and leads the airport system's complex environmental services program, including budget, technology, staff, tasks, and consultants. This person must be skilled in applying vast and broad experience to analyze, consider, and make recommendations to City leadership on critical airport environmental matters. The Environmental Program Manager position will be the key reviewer for a web-based environmental management information system (EMIS). The position will also support land acquisition and airport development environmental requirements and is responsible for planning and directing long-term remediation efforts. This role will report to the Environmental Superintendent.

The Environmental Program Manager is responsible for program administration, managing staff and consultants, ensuring program objectives and regulations are met, and analyzing highly technical planning and environmental data and policies. Depending on the assignment, specific activities may include managing airport development environmental compliance, overseeing environmental remediation, coordinating NEPA clearance applications and facilitating related technical and public meetings, reviewing off-airport development for compatibility assurance, or managing environmental risks of airport land development and associated economic development functions. SALARY

Hiring Range: $86,590.40 to $134,326.40 annually.
