This position will serve as technical, logistical, and informational support for the Field Services (FS) Section to be assigned under the Hydrogeologist Manager. Responsible for the quality assurance, control, and upgrades relating to the Department's Groundwater Site Inventory (GWSI) Oracle Database and developing GWSI policy and documentation.
Lead responsibility with all ArcGIS Field Services projects, analysis, and other technical applications related to daily data collection activities. Serves as a primary author of hydrologic reports, maps, and special data requests for management and general public. Assist Field Services with documentation upkeep, cleanup, and adhering to records retention schedules. Document and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, policies, public outreach documents, and project summary documents. Responsible for maintaining and updating Field Service Section web pages and dashboards.
Responsible for responding to Public Records Requests related to well and GWSI data. Position also serves as liaison between Field Services and other units including, but not limited to, ITD-GIS and Data Governance. This position will oversee additional hydrogeologist staff.
The person in this position will occasionally conduct field work for site quality assurance, control, and review.
A hybrid work schedule (some work in the office and some work from home) is available for this position.

This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in hydrology, civil engineering, geology, watershed management or a related field, plus five (5) years of related experience, or Master's degree and three(3) years of related experience, or PhD and one (1) year of related experience.
